As many of you have probably noticed, the new Tasks form has recently changed its design. Now tasks can be created with simple or extended forms, and the task creation form interface can be personalized itself.

Simple task form - a quick way to create tasks on the go: just type task name and click “Enter”:



Deadline, responsible person, related project or description can be added in the quick task form as well:



Extended task form – now all tasks settings are hidden under the “More” bar and only required task fields are shown to the user when the form is opened: task name, description, deadline, involved users. If you want to focus on the most important tasks in future, mark new tasks with “high priority” option.

Extended task form can be personalized with pinned fields, so that each time a new task form is opened pinned task fields will be shown by default.



In order to keep users updated on the task progress, each task form is equipped with a new task reminder form:



Reminders can be sent to the task creator, responsible person or “self”, by email or as an instant message, at the specified date/time.

Emailing tasks to external users

Now task’s responsible person, participant or observer can be selected not only from existing Bitrix24 account users, but also added as an external user via email address. In this case the task will be shared with this user by email:



External users will get task description as email message and will be able to participate in the task by replying to the email or by clicking the link inside the email message(task details will open in a new browser window).



All comments and files added to the task by email or via the web page will be automatically attached to the task.
