Custom fields in reports, Custom fields in reports
Hi

I have created a new field in the deals object and want to use it in a deals report. However this is not made available in the list of fields.

It would be VERY helpful is the full fields tree is made available when a field is needed
Hi Chronis,

Yes, custom fields are not yet available in CRM reports. I'll add your vote for the suggestion.

Yana.
This is deal breaker for us, we need to be able to create list of contacts based on the data in custom fields unless there is an alternative method.
We sell agricultural machinery and keep information on contacts machinery brands and models. This is used to tailor marketing to specific customers with specific brands or models.
I planned to include this data in custom fields but if I can't use it it is wasted effort.
Hi Arthur!

Currently Repots on deals, leads, products, invoices or activities can be created. Only CRM items custom fields of "string" and "list" types can be added to the CRM columns. You will see the available custom fields at the very end of the report columns fields list.(blue font marked)

Best,

Yana.
Hi all,

I have tried to use custom fields to create a report from deals and I can confirm, that there are some types of these fields. There is also available fields of type "Bind To CRM Elements", but it seems that the filter is not working properly with this type (other types like "text" are OK).

Do you plan to improve this funkcionality?

Ladislav
Hi Ladislav,

seems to be working fine for me...I created a custom field in Deals,  called "link to crm elements", selected deal, contacts, leads and/or companies at will, used it for a filter, everything works as intended.

See pic.

Hi Ronaldo,

I have linked CRM item "companies", and filter in reports returns wrong results:
- "is equal to" returns empty list
- "is not equal" returns list incl. records with "excluded" condition

See attached screenshots with highlights.

This functionality is not working currently. I forwarded your request to our development department. This feature will most likely be implemented in the future updates.
