Lead visibility and responsible users, HELP PLEASE!!!
Hi, can someone please help me I am desperate!!!

I have all my permission setting correctly set so that each employee can only see their own leads. There is one group of employees who once they are assigned responsible users they too have access to this lead along with the original lead generator. This was working fine until a few days ago and now once the lead is assigned to the new responsible person, the lead generator no longer has the ability to view the lead.

I'm not sure what I did to stop this from functioning correctly but the lead generator just can't see any of their leads now.

I don't really use a company structure, but I think there may be an issue with this as I was playing with them the other day but I really have no idea.

Is there anyone who can talk me through this? via skype or phone or chat or whatever?? Please help!!

Geoff, the role "lead generator" will only allow access to each employee's own leads.
Who are the "supervisor" type employees?
What permission role are they being assigned?
They should have visibility to department and or subdepartment leads.
By moving them to appropriate departments you can further restrict or expand access.

I think I am getting closer....

That's what I want. I want the lead generators to see their leads through the whole process while they are assigned to another responsible person.

The supervisor is my self, Geoff Spencer, of 'The SaverGroup' - or does each department need their own supervisor? As supervisor, I am also administrator, and have full access.
the key settings are the role (defines the action - read, write etc. and scope: personal, dept, sub dept, etc.) and the POSITION the user has on the company structure (head, dept, sub).

those two settings define the permissions ;-)

right now all your employees are on the head of the company, so if the role permits, they will see all departments.

I don't get it.
This is still not working. Everything looks correct to me.

Is there something wrong with my lead form?

the only thing you could do wrong in the lead form is to use the wrong responsible.
check the 2 settings I mentioned above, role (and its definition) and company structure (employee position)

I'm pretty sure I have everything set up correctly in the permissions...

I'm thinking it must be something wrong with one of the fields in the lead form?
Maybe a field that is broken that is meant to link the lead to the lead generator once it has been assigned to another person?
the role for Assessor (is this the supervisor?) is not correct.

these employees will sen only the leads they own.

See the image attached,
Set the access to personal and department or personal and department and subdepartment.
Remember all the guys with this role will see all leads in the department (sales).
You may want to add subdepartments for different sales channels, with different account/dept managers, etc.

I only want the Assessors to see their own leads and the leads of the lead generator that has been assigned to them.
But I want the lead generator to be able to see their lead at the same time but not be able to change the status.
Fair enough...but remember, this is a system where the hierarchy plays a role (no pun intended).

You must create a department for each of your supervisors and respective lead generators.
That's the only way supervisors can see "down the tree" to their own and assigned lead generators' leads...
As for change or not, use the permissions in the role (read, write, delete, etc.).
If possible, try to see the pattern and create as little different roles as possible, to facilitate maintenance in the future.

Ok so the Assessors now see the leads that they are meant to.
But the lead generators still do not see the lead that they generated to begin with.

This is my structure
and my Lead Generator permissions.

See this, you should put assessor on their own box, and lead generators below the assessor they are assigned to.

Ok great, but what if I want to have the assessor to be able to be assigned to any one of the lead generators and not just one?

as I said, the relationship is hierarchical, but you can add employees to multiple places, with the corresponding effect on permissions/visibility

This is not working and I don't know what I am doing wrong. Can I give you access to my bitrix to fix it for me!!!!

No leads are visible to the lead generators once the have been assigned!
