Selection lists - Better info for the admin

For Selection Lists, their names are fixed by the system (Statuses, Sources, Products...).
It would be useful to:
- Be able to change their name.
- Be able to decide whether they are to be used platform-wide or not.

Yes, that would be the idea.
Using Fields or Tags (which could be a bit more flexible in a way and also another "angle" of data organization - I've seen Tags predominantly in shared-contact solutions) would allow this.


For the scenario that you mention, it's a matter of internal policy.
Does the company want the MORE or the LESS restrictive of the resulting CRM objects query?
(Very similar situation with Permissions in multi user environments). This could be a CRM setting to be set by the company according to their preferences.

I also understand that this problem is way better handled by using Tags. Regardless of the Company structure, a User can always have access to the objects with the matching Tags.
Tags could be set in Workgroups or at individual level.


Don't get me wrong, I understand the complexity of the request; I've been a programmer for years.
The reason why I am requesting this is because a CRM system won't necessary be used by the Sales team only. I'll exemplify with our own setup:

I work for a middle-size group, in the hospitality division. The aim is to end up using Bitrix24 over the whole organization but for that I first need to prove my superiors that it's working for my division.
I have created departments, users and all the rest. I want to use the CRM for Sales and also for Front Office.
Sales for obvious reasons and Front Office to offer extra services to the guests such as follow up after a booking, appreciation letter after check-out, etc.
Even the Purchasing department can use the CRM to keep track of our suppliers and do their share of sales sometimes when we have promotions.
Also, I have figured out a way to use Companies and Contacts for inventory and object track management for key elements in our organization
(For examples, we will keep track of the usage of the company cars, their authorization use, the scheduled maintenance of air conditioning units, the distribution of our security keys among the staff and many others useful usages).

The way Bitrix24 CRM works now, all that information is available for ALL users with Read permissions over the CRM family objects (Companies, Contacts or whatever).
As you can imagine, Sales people don't need the entries for the Keys or the Aircons though they will need access to the Cars objects. Same for Front Office, they couldn't care less about suppliers or Agents while they will use the info of Walk in customers or any other customer that effectively checked-in with us.

If I want to provide with ONLY the info that the end user needs in order to reduce clutter and show them only the data they really need then I will have to filter it somehow, which is not possible at this stage.
And imagine the day I expand the platform to other divisions.... Their departments will absolutely have nothing to care about the info we deal with in ours.
I try to avoid confusion by adding a couple of Custom fields so we can sort "Humans" fr om Objects and I also name the Objects with headers in order to make them visually easy to catch, for scalability reasons and also to have them ordered in a way that they don't bother "much" when consulting Companies and Contacts. Still, this is just a patch and a more clean solution would be better.

I can imagine many other scenarios wh ere segmenting the CRM objects according to types of Users can be extremely useful. This has been a true pain even with Google Apps, having to resort to solutions such as FlashPanel (which btw uses Tags).

There seem to be no option to filter which CRM objects can each user see/interact with.
Granted, we can remove access to a whole category (say allow Contacts but not Deals) to a certain user/group but filtering inside those contacts is not possible.
For instance, I may not want my Purchasing department to have ALL Contacts in their hands but only the Suppliers they work with (since in a way they are also our customers sometimes). Or if I segment Sales department into Gov+Biz+Individuals I may want the right Sales agents to have only the segments they will be working with.

I guess the best way is to allow further filtering applying a filter rule or by Tags.
Would you guys consider this?

Generally speaking, bulk updates for any field in any CRM object should be needed. There are plenty of scenarios where having to go one by one is way too time consuming.
Can Dev Team consider this?

Form interfaces - Links to Wiki
Hello.

When customizing the interfaces we use for Bitrix (say a CRM object, though the concept is valid for anything from Tasks to Calendars), companies might want to enforce standard procedures to fill up fields. Sometimes it's just about providing with online help to explain Custom Fields, for instance.

Could dev team consider to offer such functionality? I am thinking of links to URLs that can be the internal Wiki or external links that can appear embedded or as a floating popup window.

Tasks + CRM: Allow selecting Products (or any existing CRM object).
Please also note that sometimes some Selection Lists should be available for other CRM objects than the ones initially defined.

For instance, Sources is originally assigned for Contacts yet we may also want to track Source for a Company.
At the moment I had to resort to create a Custom Field for Companies for this when it would make much more sense to simply reuse the same field.
(And I am going to leave blank the original Source Selection List to use the same Custom Field for Contacts and Companies - I crave coherence)

One way would be to allow a checkbox in the list of CRM objects the Selection List applies and be able to assign it to the ones we prefer.

Does that make sense to anyone?

Selection lists are a bit limited (can't change their label for instance) but what's more confusing most of the time is not having some supporting info on which CRM objects do they apply.

Please see the example at the attached screenshot.

When creating a Task, one can link it to CRM objects such as Leads, Contacts, Companies and Deals.
However Products, Quotations and Invoices are not available to add.

Could this be considered?

When creating a Custom Field of type List, you can run into the following bug:

- Create a List field (in my case it was a Contact) (Parameters: Design List, List Height 1, Required NO).
- Add elements to the list.
- Save    -> So far all good.
- Create new Contact
- The new List field will have as first item the word "no" then the rest of list items defined for the field.

How to remove that "no":
Make the List field Required YES in the definition.

Definitely a bug to be corrected.

One feature that would be rather useful would be to have a custom URL (like the one for the REST API) that would return a VCard file upon request, at least for Employees.

Example:
DOMAIN.Bitrix24/Employees.php?ID=EmployeeID (if generated dynamically)
Or
DOMAIN.Bitrix24/Employees/EmployeeID.vcf (if generated when the Employee updates data as a static file - Which could perfectly be stored in Bitrix.Drive)

This would be useful in many ways:
- As links in webpages
- As links in email signatures
- As links for QR Codes in business cards (the QR code could also be generated automatically at the Employee data page to be downloaded and incorporated in the business card design)


Also, the general Employees page could have a link to download all (that could also be an URL to download them all as well)

Activities - Contact not showing.

The Activities screen is not showing the Contact associated with a Task.

To reproduce the scenario:

- Created a new Company.
- Created a new Contact from inside the Company profile.
- Created a Task from inside the Contact profile.
- Checked my Activities and the Task was there but the Contact field is empty (see screenshot 1)
- Checked the Task and the Contact is properly associated (see screenshot 2)
- Refreshed the screen several times with no change.

Not the end of the world, just a tiny detail to correct eventually.

BPM - Request for feature: Apply to Employees.

It would be really nice (and I believe doable) to be able to apply BPM templates over Employee objects.

Example of usage:
###New employee joins the company.
- Different departments, according to the position filled, get a notification.
(IT: [I]Please create email box, copier code, PBX extension and prepare printer[/I] - Finance: [I]Please create credit account[/I] - HR: [I]Please prepare business cards[/I])
- All the employees that might be interacting with this new staff get notification and contact data.
([I]Hello, this is the person who will take care of Reservations[/I])
- The employee itself receives a number of welcoming messages, instructions on how to move around the company, who is who, how to reserve the company car and a manual on how to move around Bitrix.

###Employee is holiday or medical leave.
- All the employees that might be interacting with this staff get notification.
(Finance: [I]Please Keep this in record for salary[/I] - HR: [I]Please note that I'll be away for a number of days[/I] - Pending leads/actions: [I]Please note that I will be away for the next days. My colleague will take care of your account meanwhile[/I] - Colleague: [I]These are the Leads to follow up while I am away[/I])

BPM - Request for features: Mail attachments and File/Folder manipulation.

I have found that there is no way in BPM to:

- Attach files to the Send Email action
(Ideally from Bitrix Drive and also online by URL)
Example: When creating a new Lead I might want to send a number of brochures automatically.

- To create, manipulate and delete folders (Bitrix Drive)
- To move and delete files among those folders (Bitrix Drive)
Example: Upon creating a new provider Company I may want to create a subfolder for them to store information such as their own product catalogue.

Could these be considered by the Dev Team?

BPM - Detecting launch origin
Greetings.

I've been checking around the BPM Condition (Constructions) and I can't find how to detect the origin of the launch for a BPM template.
There are a number of scenarios where it's convenient to detect inside the BPM template what it was launched.
Granted, I can always create one template for OnCreate, one for OnChange and one for manual launch. It's simply more neat to have them all together and execute the proper condition branch accordingly.  


Can this be done or should it go as a request to the Dev Team?

Diiferent Lead form templates.

I have been playing a bit with the Leads interface and I am not quite sure how to accomplish the following:
(This can actually also be applied for other CRM objects such as Quotes)

In our division (hospitality industry), we work with several products, each and one of them needing a different set of parameters to track.
For instance, we sell private charters as venues for events, we sell rooms and we sell MICE packages (to name 3 examples).
If I want all my sales team to introduce the proper parameters for each of these products the first step is to create all the Custom fields that we need; that's straightforward.
What I don't find is a way to actually filter groups of custom fields per type of Lead. It's not really convenient to have a whole page of custom fields for all the possible types of Leads. Also, depending on the type of Lead some custom fields will be mandatory and not others. Hence mixing them all together defeats the purpose of making them mandatory.

What I'd like to find is a way to chose a Lead template so users can concentrate on introducing the right information according to the type of Lead.


I have seen the Form Settings button on the top right of the Leads form and have played around with Tabs & Tab Fields but there's no change at all in my Leads form.

Am I missing something maybe?

I am experiencing the same problem. Tried to create a new currency as shown in this screenshot (same values for the rest of languages).




When saving, I get the dreaded "The currency ID must include Latin letters only." error.

Any idea?

I have little doubts that you'll be implementing it in the app sooner or later (there are no reasons to not do so and it's one of the coolest features to me in the tasks).

Rearrange Tasks (Reorder), How do I re-order tasks?

Any updates about this topic?

When creating subtasks one creates them in "next to follow" order yet in the interface they are in "last in first shown" order. It's a bit frustrating and not very productive.

Being able to reorder the tasks with drag & drop would be the way to go. You've done a lot in this sense with the latest release so I take it the framework to implement this with Tasks is at hand.

We are about to implement Bitrix24 in our organization and one of the main motives is to be able to track our staff's tasks with checklists.
I after creating a test Task with an extensive checklist I was very surprised to not see those reflected in the mobile app.
Is this feature scheduled for implementatioin?
