Description
Asana data migration helps project teams move their workspaces into Bitrix24 without rebuilding projects and tasks manually. It is built for organizations switching from Asana and needing a full transfer of users, projects, and task history. This reduces migration time and keeps work context intact.
Why businesses use it
Manual migration from Asana is slow and risky when projects, tasks, and files must be preserved. This app automates the transfer and keeps progress visible during import.
Business value
Install the app from Bitrix24.Market, generate an Asana API key, and sel ect the department for user import, default responsible user, and default file storage; then start the import. Optional items include sections, custom fields (only for Bitrix24 and Asana top‑level tariffs), task dependencies, comments, and attached files. Import runs in the background and may take significant time; progress is shown on the import page and notifications are sent after each object is imported. All Asana fields are preserved in Bitrix24; sections become Kanban stages and custom fields are added to tasks. If Asana lacks a responsible user or a comment creator was dismissed, the default Bitrix24 user is assigned. Files fr om tasks without a project go to the default storage; files from tasks in projects are stored in project folders. Numeric fields in Asana are converted to text fields in Bitrix24. Once the migration starts, it cannot be paused or stopped. Asana Scrum projects are imported as workspaces because API data does not distinguish Scrum features.
